Just ordered my 2nd Artist Display 15.6 Pro

My 16-year old is quite happy with the Artist Display 15.6 Pro once we figured out the problems she was initially had was the stylus not the tablet. Customer Service was awesome in helping us eliminating the problem!!

Pretty Solid Tablet

I want to preface my whining to say that I love this tablet, there's just some things that caught me by surprise as a first-time display tablet owner. Context; I'm a semi-professional artist whose been doing digital art with a graphics tablet for ~11 years.

The Good:
- Price (especially compared to Wacom)
- I think this is the perfect size for someone who doesn't need a massive tablet but wants a good amount of screen space
- There's a barely noticeable amount of parallax

The Not So Good:
- The nibs wear faster than I'm used to, causing scratches on the screen, some of which are deep & noticeable when the tablet's in use. This is even after I've adjusted the pressure settings so I don't need to push as hard. Leave the screen protector on and this is less likely to happen (oops)
- This tablet has a beautiful display, but I can't get it to match the colors on my main monitor for anything. The tablet always ends up with higher saturation, no matter how I tweak the settings.
- There was a brief issue that lasted for a couple weeks about a month after I received the tablet. I think it stems from me having the tablet in my lap instead of on its stand, so my experience might be different from most. When I'd use the stylus on the tablet, there'd be boxy, flickering (distracting) pixels on the left side of the screen (applying pressure with other things, like a finger, didn't have the same effect). It somehow resolved itself, but I'm a little worried it'll come back.

So glad I got this!

It was extremely easy to set up and adjust the controls. It's lightweight but packs a punch when its comes to displaying color and running programs like Photoshop and Illustrator. So far it's amazing and I couldn't be happier! I will definitely recommend this to my peers!

What a nice tablet

Wow ! What an amazing product. I did knock one star out because of the long shipping (it was coming from a warehouse in china). The display is big and does feel natural. I wished though the manual would be a little clearer, the installation took me a while but anything else is good ! Very natural transition from paper to tablet, smooth surface, great packaging. (I'm very picky about these, and the tablet did it all :) ) The stand feels kinda cheap and does not fit in the tablet protective case, which bothered me (the pen also did not fit, it would have been nice to have a case where you can travel everything in one bag. Of course I'm focusing on the negative aspects but they are superficial compared of all the qualities of the tablet. A nice and more affordable alternative of big names such as Wacom. Would recommend it to everybody, beginners to professionnals !

Initial review: I've used the 15.6 artist pro a few days now, and it's great, but not perfect:

PRO: the quality of this product is apparently fantastic. The pen matched w/ the screen right out of the box, and I didn't have to mess with calibration at all (but you do need to install AND HAVE SOFTWARE RUNNING or it'll be wrong). The item is light, but doesn't feel cheap. At least, not really. Reminds me of a mid-grade cell phone from about 6 years back. I got a stand, a glove, and a case with it, which was nice, although the stand is barely adequate.

CON: NO VESA MOUNT. What in the heck???!? Not only should it come with a VESA mount, there should be an accessory that adds a backplate with handles so you can move the tablet on a VESA mount without worrying about damaging the screen. This is particularly bad bc the stand is only barely adequate due to the angle, making it basically useless except for from 1 sitting position/arrangement! XP-PEN brilliantly designed this product so that you could easily rotate the screen with the wheel, and yet didn't think you'd want to move the screen around? Seems impossible to believe. XP-PEN, FIX THIS!!!!!

Next, the express buttons can't be totally remapped. If I want button 1 to be button 5, too bad. You only get 1 option for eyedropper, otherwise you have to assign keyboard shortcuts, which aren't as good. Please fix this XPP. Also, when I use buttons, often using the wheel immediately afterward doesn't work.

The Best Graphics Display Tablet..... Ever!

I was so surprised when I rexeived the item. It came in less than a week. The item is so big which is more than I expected.

I just read the history of XP-PEN, and knowing that this brand is founded in Japan, I am getting the best out of it. No wonder you got all the accessories you already need, and all you have to do is start drawing!

I have no regrets getting this tablet. Two thumbs up! No! Make that four! That include the thumbs on my toes!!!

Decent graphic Tablet

I would recommend this to my friends... If I had any. But overall, it's pretty good.

Feels premium and works very well

The device has some slight weight to it and feels really good. I like having the dial to shrink and grow my brush. The screen is very clear. Feels like I’m drawing on paper.

Affordable with good quality

I received the product after 7 days. Everything was carefully shipped without any damages.
This is the first time I got a display drawing tablet and XP Pen is a great option for those who don't want to spend tons of money on it.
The color of the display could be a bit too vibrant for me compared to my laptop.
Other than that, everything else is excellent

Excellent tablet for the price

Worked out of the box with no issues. Feels sturdy but light weight. Virtually no parallax. The hot keys and roller wheel are a great bonus. Fun to draw on.
