Does the Type C connection require a Type C Thunderbolt input to work for multi-display? I read the user manual and it says I can use the Type C to on its own, but it does not say which version of Type C.

There is only a version of Type C interface. If you want to use multi-display, you need to purchase a Type-C splitter additionally.

So you are "offering" a sale at a great price of $489.99, but it seems you were already out of stock before you even started the "sale"! I have been checking from the minute the "sale" started and now it's January 4th and it has been "Out of stock" this whole time!!!? What kind of sales practice is that? Sounds a bit fishy, to say the least. Seriously not very cool and I don't think this will get you a loyal customer base, ever.

I bought the Artist Display 22R pro and it works great.
I can confirm that it works fine with my Microsoft Surface Book Laptop, with the included USB-to-USB-C cable (using USB/USB-C adapter provided) , PLUS the included HDMI cable (using a mini DisplayPort adapter which I bought).
My question to you is:
Since the Microsoft Surface Book Laptop does not have a USB-C port, would a cable like this one: https://www.amazon.com/DisplayPort-Thunderbolt-Compatible-MacBook-More-6Ft/dp/B07P8RXQ79/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=mini+displayport+to+USB-C+cable&qid=1577114160&sr=8-1
work from laptop to 22R pro (using the above Mini DisplyPort to USB-C as a single cable solution) so that I can connect with just 1 cable?
