So I am new to display tablets(smaller ones), does the tablet need to be connected to a computer/laptop to access the art program or can the art program be directly put on the display tablet? And just run off an internal charged battery/plug in the wall. (Artist pro 12 for example) I am looking to buy one very soon.

Since the tablet doesn't have any programs on it, so it must be connected with a computer because they can't work alone without a computer.
