Is the Artist 24 good for a student that will be transporting it with a backpack. I'm going to be in college and I was wondering if this tablet would be good to take it with me from home to school?

Hello. Not sure if you're still debating on this, but answering anyways for you and future creators.

If you have a host touchscreen computer or a tabmate with Clip Studio Paint, go for the 24. That way, you don't need the scrolls and other buttons on the Pro. As far as I could tell, I do think the 24 has a better color gamut compared to the Pro (94% vs. 90% RGB), though I mostly chose this because it more closely matches that of the computer I'm using (make sure to check the color on the host computer otherwise it will affect the tablet). The Pro also doesn't come with a laminated surface compared to 24 (it comes separately for $49.99 in a pack of 2). I did see whether I could draw on the protective film anyways as a cheap alternative to lamination. It's doable, but the pen sometimes catches onto it. Also, quite a bit of money can be saved, even during discount time (about $100 difference then).

If you don't have a touch screen computer or the tabmate, then Pro is good if you still want the size and 2K resolution at an affordable price. It gets tiring tapping onto the Zoom buttons compared to scrolling around. At most, there's a chance of accidentally hitting one of the many buttons in the middle of work and interrupting the flow, but they can always be individually adjusted and even disabled to prevent that.

On smaller differences, the Pro is a little bigger and heavier than 24 (same working area though) and the Pro has 2 USBs to connect other things like a mouse while the 24 has one. The 24 also has a headphone jack while Pro doesn't. The Pro has an extra stylus and a pen holder unlike 24 (an extra stylus is roughly $20 on average in the Accessories if needed?). The 24 uses buttons for the power and quick adjustment settings while Pro is touch.

What is the difference in quality between the Artist 24 and the Artist 24 Pro, aside from the pro having the side bar buttons? Based on the specs it feels like the Artist 24 has a better screen than the 24 Pro.
